Sovereign is a private coaching practice for people who carry responsibility and want to understand how they carry it. The work begins with observation. What does a room reward, who holds the power to move a decision, and what does leading cost you on an ordinary Tuesday? Answers to those three questions shape everything that follows.
The practice
Sovereign names six ways of leading. Each one draws on a different source of power, and each one carries its own strengths, its own growth edges, and its own particular exhaustion. Most leaders recognize themselves in one pattern clearly, and in a second one faintly.
Naming a pattern gives a leader language for what they already sense, and language makes choice possible. Self-knowledge stays a practice. Leaders return to it as the work changes, and each return shows them something the last one could not.
How the work runs
Sovereign coaching is private, structured, and paced to a leader's current season. Sessions follow the pattern a leader recognizes as their own, and the work adapts to what is true on the day you meet. Janelle Renee Jenkins leads the practice from Washington, DC.
